The idea for Charleston’s Land & Sea Market
was seeded in the backyard of owners and Lowcountry natives Randy and Lisa Cable. They were treating friends to a traditional
Lowcountry boil when someone pondered why such a popular specialty was almost impossible to find except in people’s
backyards. It was a question the Cables took to heart. It didn’t take much for them to decide to do something about
it, creating Lowcountry Boils, an on-site catering service dedicated to providing a truly unique and authentic catering service
based on centuries-old family recipes and impeccable customer service.
Over the next three years, Lowcountry Boils grew to become one of the Lowcountry’s premier specialty
catering companies.
But for the Cables, a boil is more
than shrimp and other seafood delicacies, sausage, corn, and potatoes. What made their boil truly unique was the savory combination
of spices used that brought people back time and time again asking what was their secret. Upon popular demand, the Cables
began packaging their top-secret blend of piquant and sweet spices with Charleston’s Lowcountry Spice.
Now available through the Lowcountry and beyond, the overwhelming success
of the spice line prompted the Cables to take the next step—opening a truly unique Lowcountry market and butcher block
catering to the finicky palate of Lowcountry gourmands. Opened in April of 2007, Charleston’s Land & Sea Market
has done just that, so stop in today for a truly Lowcountry culinary experience.
